I direct my lens towards trees, a theme I re-experience as a slumbering memory from my youth. As a child, I wandered through a small grove, my paradise of play and discovery, where the trees whispered and the wind told stories.
For years, I did not think about that green treasure. The world of my childhood faded in the whirlwind of life. But when both my parents passed away, the memories came back like waves.
In my mourning and quest for processing my grief, I decided to explore the theme of trees in my photographic work as a way to shape my emotions and honor my memories. With my analog camera, I captured the trees, not merely as objects, but as bearers of my personal symbolism.
My work is an intimate journey through the forest of my memories, an ode to the trees that were once my playmates. Through my lens, the forest speaks again in images that offer both comfort and inspiration. I’m inviting the viewer to pause and reflect on their own roots, their own stories, hidden among the leaves of life.
